Required Director of Export Agency (Qatar)

Ltd. is a 360degree Human Resource Management Consulting and Staffing Services Organization with operations in UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Australia, USA, Singapore & India.VINIRMA Consulting is currently looking Director of Export Agency for one of our clients which is a leading Bank in Qatar with the following skill set and terms and conditions.Skill Set required:
* Demonstrated understanding of the factors and decisions that are relevant to export development, growth and investment
* Demonstrated understanding of export credit mechanisms
* Demonstrated ability to develop policies and practices relevant to international trade and investment including strategies to assist local businesses to become export ready
* Demonstrated knowledge of international market developments and trends that present specific opportunity for potential Qatari exporters
* Demonstrated knowledge of the issues facing exporters and investors at various stages of internationalisation
* Fluent in Arabic and English
* Demonstrated high level communication skills including interpersonal, negotiation and
* Demonstrated achievement in the development and management of productive working relationships to leverage business and government networks, domestically and internationally to achieve export impact
* Demonstrated ability to drive performance through research and analysis, strategy development, implementation of initiatives and actions plans to ensure successful outcomes
* Ability and willingness to make decisions and be accountable
* Demonstrated ability to ability to engage, lead and motivate a team to implement up environment advisory services in a start up environment .
1. Strategy & Planning
* Understand Qatar strategic direction and develop and Implement appropriate Export Advisory strategy and plans.
* Export Agency strategic plans in place and in line with Qatar strategic direction
* Plans approved by the CEO
* Planning timetable met.
* 1. Export Advisory & Promotion Leadership
* Develop and deliver advisory services to assist domestic companies to become export ready support existing exporters to increase their exports.
* Represent a senior level with private sector companies, government agencies and business groups
* Build and maintain successful international networks and relationships to promote effective export outcomes.
* Contribution to Qatar’s export sector objectives
* Export Agency targets met (Q1 2011)
* Profile in the private and public sector as a key contributor to Qatar’s Export impact.
* 1. Policies & Procedures
* Lead the development of policies and processes to grow Qatar’s export sector
* Ensure all new policies are in line with international trade agreements Qatar Law and Qatar Labour Law.
* All Export Agency policies are kept up- to-date and applied
* Timely communications of policy and procedure updates
* 1. Team Leadership
* Promote good communication and collaborative/team work environment within and the department.
* Export Agency team engaged and committed to achievement of operational objectives and understands their contribution.
* Ensure appropriate resourcing plan for the department and ensure appropriately skilled resources to deliver Export Agency objectives
* Work with each team member to set their personal objectives in line with departmental objectives
* Ensure each team member has a training and development plan in place
* Ensure team adherence and departmental policies and procedures
* Each team member understands and achieves their personal objectives and Performance/Development Plan.
* Level of team motivation
* Team kept up to date with corporate and operational developments
* 1. Budget Planning & Management
* Work with the Finance Department to develop annual Export Agency operations budgets to support strategic and operational plans including:
* Monitor departmental budgets usage and take corrective action where required
* Ensure accuracy of Department budgets and reporting
* Budgets signed off by CEO
* Budget performance (planned versus actual)
Experience required: minimum 10 yrs Terms and conditions: Joining time frame: 2 weeks (maximum 4 weeks)The selected candidates shall be a direct employee of one of the leading banks in Qatar.
