The Orphan Home Project Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination, reporting and feedback of all our orphan home projects in Rawalpindi/Islamabad. We currently have eight different orphan homes in Khayaban-e-Sir Syed in Rawalpindi (5 for boys and 3 for girls). Each orphan home is setup like a foster family with only 6 orphan kids being looked after by paid foster parents.
The Project Coordinator will be required to visit each home (all of which are within 5-10 walking distance of each other) at least twice a week, and will be required to spend approximately 45-60 minutes per visit at each home to assess the progress, problems, developments, etc… The Project Coordinator will be required to interact with the orphan kids and foster parents to know their problems, needs, feedback, comments, complaints etc...
The project coordinator will be required to send weekly written reports regarding the orphans home visits with details of progress, problems, feedbacks, assessments, complaints, comments etc… in English to project sponsors and directors in both Pakistan and Kuwait.
This is a part time afternoon-evening job. The coordinator will have to arrange all his visits in the afternoon-evening as the orphan kids go to school in the morning. Moreover, the job will require a commitment of approximately 20 hours per week. However, the person will have the flexibility to spread the weekly 20 hours work over a minimum of 4 days to a maximum of 7 days.
Skills Required:
Preference will be given to candidates who:
a) Live in or close to Khayaban-e-Sir Syed in Rawalpindi.
b) Have experience or are show interest in dealing with children.
c) Have good English communication skills both speaking and writing.
d) Know how to use Microsoft Word and Email.
e) Should be Energetic, independent, honest, self motivated, and punctual.
