| Job Description/ Responsibilities |
To provide 1st line support for companys external IT-related
projects, including Automated Vehicle Location systems/Driver &
Vehicle Performance Management Systems. Responsible for support & ongoing development of Company website. To ensure the smooth running of the Companys in-house IT Systems. Act as the first point of contact for Company Staff regarding IT support issues. Escalation of issues to CEO and/or support providers where problems cannot be solved. The IT Support Engineer reports to the CEO responsible for ITS. Management and support of all company owned or rented desktops, laptops, printers, A/V equipment and network photocopiers. Management and support of software packages from leading companies, including Microsoft Office, Sage Accpac, Intelex, Geotab Checkmate and other Automated Vehicle Location systems/Driver & Vehicle Performance Management Systems (webbased). Installation of new computers (desktops, laptops and servers), printers and peripheral equipment according to established procedures. Execute, manage and check daily & weekly backups. Basic troubleshooting of internet and network connections at company head office and future data center. Report on occurred problems utilizing company standard problem reporting procedure. Management and support of land line system. Management and support of mobile phone (SIM) cards both for company employees and Automated Vehicle Location systems/ Driver & Vehicle Performance Management Systems. Implementation, management and support of future IP-telephony system. Configuration and installation of Geo tab Checkmate or other Automated Vehicle Location systems/Driver & Vehicle Performance Management Systems at clients sites. Troubleshooting of Automated Vehicle Location systems/Driver & Vehicle Performance Management Systems together with mechanic(s). Development and maintenance of Intelex Process Management System. Manage content and applications of the company website. |

| Profile | Educated to Degree level standard or equivalent, preferably with post graduate and professional qualifications. Length and quality of experience, as demonstrated by achievement, may compensate in part for a lack of formal education. Intermediate to high proficiency on Microsoft Office Suite of Products. Experience of Active Directory and Exchange System Manager. Experience of Web-based / Distributed Applications & Solutions. Familiarity with common IT problems and their solutions/workaround. A Intermediate to high understanding of networking, hardware, software and protocols (TCP/IP, VPN etc.). A Previous experience or understanding of Automated Vehicle Location systems/Driver & Vehicle Performance Management Systems (GPS/ GPRS based) a Microsoft accreditations (complete or in progress) such as MCSE or MCSA would be an advantage A methodical approach to troubleshooting and problem solving. Experience in working in projects. Ability to prioritize work and break activities up in general and detailed tasks. Proactive, Can-do Attitude. Success & Results Orientated Works well in a team. Can work unsupervised when required. Approachable and positive attitude. Strong interpersonal skills. Strong communication skills. Direct and open style; delivers first time on commitments.
