Customer focus is maintained through four business units that address specific market segments - Merchant, Naval, Offshore and Submarines. A global support network underpins all activities and ensures contracts can be undertaken, and support is at hand anywhere in the world. The Field Service Manager will be responsible for managing the Service Engineers and will form part of the Aftermarket function, reporting operationally and functionally to the Service Center Manager. Key responsibilitiesWork collaboratively with the Service Center Manager to manage the optimum allocation of service engineer resource Manage the performance and professional behaviour and conduct of all service engineers and conduct regular appraisals (PDR’s) Manage the development and content of site/job briefing notes to ensure the required information is with the service engineerWork with the technical support team to ensure the correct instructions are given to service engineers working on customer jobs Manage comprehensive training and development for all service engineers.
Manage the deployment of sub-contract resource, performance monitoring and setting performance standards and policies
