Currently our CLIENT, a Big Saudi Group, is looking for Sr. Electrical Commissioning Engineer. Details are mentioned below:

Qualification  :  BS in Electrical engineering / related technical fields

Job Specification:

Electrical senior consultant commissioning engineer is expected to have a minimum of 10-15 years experience in Pre-commissioning and Start-up of data centers. 

He have participated in a minimum of three (3) data center projects as part of a commissioning team full time and have had the lead for at least one of the projects. 

He or she shall be able to troubleshoot and resolve difficulties encountered during Start-up, and shall participate in FAT test plan development

 

Electrical senior consultant Commissioning engineer is expected to lead the Commissioning efforts on Project. His responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

* reviewing the respective commissioning plans and provide comments;
* providing input when required to Client’s commissioning committee meetings; and
* organizing the implementation of the plan including selecting and organization of the team, and equipment;
* to attend Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
* Provide Electrical Engineering services to design, specify, and approve power distribution required for the construction of state of the art Data Center/Mission Critical and other facilities.
* Interface with utility companies, construction supervisors, and vendors.
* Facilitate power quality studies, capacity studies, remediation, UPS and emergency power strategy, short circuit and load coordination studies, and control system strategies.
* Incorporation of renewable power sources into traditional power systems providing mission critical reliability.
* Provide technical direction to designers and drafters assigned to specific tasks.
* Responsible for the quality and delivery of schematic and detailed designs.
* Professional Engineering approval of work performed under direct supervision.
* Thoroughly familiar with National Electrical Code, NFPA documents, EIA / TIA, and building codes.
* The Data Center Engineer must be familiar with generator operation and the design of switchgear and ATS. They will have an understanding of lighting, grounding, bonding, breaker coordination, power distribution, switchgear, transformer and utility entrance design, as well as installation and maintenance considerations

Skill and Educational Requirements:

Bachelor's degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering or related technical fields related with critical requirements such as telecommunications, data centers, disaster recovery, hospitals and power plants. This includes trouble shooting and solving electrical problems, as well as experience managing electrical vendors.


Understanding of data center equipment and architecture:

* Power (UPS, PDU, engine generators, battery string, etc.)
* Cooling (HVAC, chiller, In-row Cooling, CRAC units)
* Best-practice for power and HVAC capacity utilization and planning
* Fire suppression
* Space planning (to ensure appropriate levels of cooling, power, etc. are available account for the various densities of customer equipment)
