Job Description:
Description of Responsibilities:
- Administration of QC staff to get better output from their capabilities.
- Management of job allocation of QC staff on production shop. Look after their performance agility, vigilance and dedication to job assigned.
- Train and educate QC staff to improve their performance and output.
- Guidance to shop floor line in-charges for the improvement of product quality and minimize/control rejection level.
- Guideline for QC & Production staff for gauge and measuring instrument use and care on shop floor.
- To look after the house keeping of QC office and Lab, including careful handling and use of lab equipment and implement appropriate Health, Safety & Environment measures.
- Interaction and education of vendors for improving the quality and packing (dent free supplies) of in coming goods (forgings, castings & finish machine parts)
- Close liaison with MTL QC to have update information of faulty components causing assembly problems.
- In-house detective/corrective actions for the improvement of quality defects of components reported by MTL.
- Working for the implementation of ISO 9001 Quality System.
- Preparation of ISO-9001 quality procedures and training literature for MEL shop floor staff and Engineers.
- To display company policy in the offices and at prominent places of shop floor.
- Advice to relate Engineer in the preparation of Specs of Gear cutting tooling to be imported.
- To monitor the in-house and out side manufacture of gauges required for MEL production line & supply to MTL.
- To guide QC staff for the proper maintenance and care of QC documentations and records.
- Implement the management policies as and when advised.
- Induction of skilled QC team (as per approved organizational chart) to develop quality oriented environment for quality assured production.
- To ensure proper utilization of working hours by the quality staff.
- To arrange the dispatch of weekly/fortnightly Line rejection to store as per RTN approved by QC & Production.
