Job Duties: |
1. Responsible for Research and Development (R&D) work in the field of Optronics.
2. To Co-ordinate the R & D work on projects in different discipline. 3. To supervise the scientific & Engineering staff on the progress of R&D work. 4. Any other responsibility/ duty assigned by the DG(IOP). |

Qualification/Experience required: |
(i) Master Degree in Physics/ Applied Optics/ Applied Physics/ Laser Physics/ Electronics or equivalent qualification from a recognized University. OR Bachelor Degree in Electrical/ Electronics or equivalent qualification from a recognized University. (ii) Ten years post qualification experience in Research and Development/ Production/ Project Planning and Management/ Optronics in Govt./ Semi-Govt./ Private firm of repute. (iii) Research Publications and Technical Reports in standard journals preferable. |

Note: |
Higher
academic qualifications/ standard preferred. Length of experience shall
be relaxable (a) by six years for Ph.D. in Engineering. (b) by fours

by two years for M.Phil other than in Engineering and M.Sc. in
Engineering. Special pay @ Rs. 800/- p.m. Both male and female candidates are eligible
