Salary Upto Rs. 50,000/- per month (Plus upto 5% annual increase as per PC-1)
Contract Period One year (extendable)
Required Qualification First Class Master Degree in Basic / Natural / Social / Management Sciences or B.Sc. (Engr.) or equivalent from HEC recognized institutions.
Required Experience Minimum 05 years managerial / supervisory experience in public or private sector related to project design, management, personal training and institutional capacity building, financial management and monitoring of development projects pertaining to higher education sector. The knowledge of donor agency’s operation will be an advantage. Persons having good understanding of development plans and operation of higher education institutions, good written / communication skill in English and advance use of MS-Office will be preferred.

Job Responsibilities Supervising project team work to implement the project effectively and timely and ensure that project objectives are being met; Prepare progress reports, execution reports etc; Responsible for maintaining project financial accounts, issuance of releases record and preparation of expenditure statements; Ensure compliance of codal formalities and Government rules of business during implementation of the project; Maintain project related database, correspondence with HEC, concerned departments and agencies, Monitoring of implementation of Bond and Agreement signed between HEC and vendors and other parties.

Applications form may be downloaded from the HEC website www.hec.gov.pk and sent, alongwith attested photocopies of required documents and bank draft/postal order of Rs.300/- in favour of the HEC. Last date for receipt of applications is 25-09-2007. Incomplete / late applications will not be entertained. The experience as part time, honorary, apprentice and internee will not be considered / counted as experience. Only eligible candidates will be called for test/interview. Written test of the eligible candidates will be conducted through NTS. Only short listed candidates will be called for test/interview. HEC reserves the right to reject any or all the applications. It may also be noted that beside the salary, no other facility (like housing, car, conveyance allowance telephone, medical etc.) will be admissible to the selected candidates. No TA/DA will be admissible.
