CHALLENGING OPPORTUNITIES IN CORPORATE GOVERNANCE Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance (PICG) has been successfully increasing awareness about, and encouraging compliance with good governance and socially responsible corporate practices. With a view to increasing its engagement, it has recently opened up its membership to companies, corporations and other institutions. To complement its growing operations and advisory services, PICG now invites applications for the following senior positions based in Karachi. HEAD OF TRAINING AND ADVISORY SERVICES RESPONSIBILITIES: * Develop, lead and organize key corporate governance training events and deliver advisory services on corporate governance * Design and deliver director training and certification programs * Provide consultation to companies on corporate governance issues and conduct assessments * Develop and manage a network of corporate governance experts to participate in training events * Update training materials with the latest corporate governance standards, and develop new and innovative training topics and approaches * Train staff on how to conduct interactive training events and on effective presentation skills * Prepare model corporate governance curricula and case studies for business education students, and assist the CEO in business development QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE: * Master's degree or equivalent in a related field * At least 10 years of relevant experience in providing training and educational services in Pakistan HEAD OF RESEARCH * Launch research activities and publications on corporate governance * Develop handbooks to provide practical guidance to directors of companies and banks on corporate governance * Develop, lead and organize key awareness raising events on corporate governance * Build up databases and identify areas of research * Build, update and systematize an internal database with corporate governance materials QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE: * Master's degree or equivalent in related field * At least 10 years of relevant experience in conducting research work, compiling data, developing guidelines, and handling publications SELECTED CANDIDATES SHOULD HAVE: * strong leadership, organizational and communication/presentation skills; * knowledge of corporate governance issues in Pakistan; and * fluency in English.
