| Job Description/ Responsibilities | 1. Day-to-day support to Managers / other staff for efficient usage of PC’s. Recommends changes / install PC’s as and when required as per the approval from the Management. 2. Co-ordinates and implements computer data network plan for User access to main Application Software, Windows NT Server and Unix O/S. 3. Provides support and expertise to network users in installation, problem identification and solution in co-ordination with the DBA. 4. Establishes and controls network access procedures, Internet access, VPN, TGMS and ensure that User Department obtains required service. 5. Designs small Systems in Access database, implements and trains users. 6. Collects and compiles statistics on network usage, network layouts and hardware configuration details and submit to Management. 7. Provides assistance for installation and running of PC hardware and basic software tools. 8. Maintains up-to-date inventory of all communication and main hardware installed from time to time. 9. Continuously liaises and coordinates with concerned units on any operational or network changes. 10. Monitors performance of current PC and network operation and suggests changes/upgrading to enhance operational efficiency and user convenience. 11. Guides and assists users of PC’s and network to obtain maximum utility of the equipments provided. 12. Provides professional and technical assistance to PC and network users to resolve minor issues and guides network operators. 13. Prepares analytical reports on the performance of existing network and suggests means to enhance/upgrade machines efficiency. 14. Prepares daily reports generated from the Kerridge system. 15. Co-ordinates with the new system implementation team for network support. Familiarizes with the new Oracle system. 16. Performs any other related duties as required by the Management. |
