o The Floor Supervisor embodies the "culture" of the restaurant with a cheerful, enthusiastic, task oriented attitude. He must be diplomatic and facilitate the smooth flow of quality food service by anticipating challenges. The Floor Supervisor's principal functions are to plan, direct, train and evaluate all activities and performance of the food server.
o The Floor Supervisor possesses superior human relations skills, manifesting itself in the ability to proactively train staff members, organize the workload.
o The Floor Supervisor is accountable to the Manager operations. He must work closely in cooperation with management team.
o Floor Supervisor must possess a true understanding of the desired culture, motivational techniques, and managerial skills; service presentation of products which appeal to the demands of the local restaurant market.
o The Floor Supervisor supervises the food servers in areas such as, but not limited to: steps of service, legal considerations, suggestive sales, guest relations, safety, teamwork, sanitation practices, company policies, cash handling, side work and product quality
o The Floor Supervisor motivates his staff via professional example, initiation of contests, coaching, and consistent feedback on performance.
o Ensure the cleanliness of areas of responsibility through effective training, supervision and follow-up with staff.
o Check with customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.
