VAM SYSTEMS is a Business Consulting, IT Solutions and Services company with operations in UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, USA, Australia, Singapore & India.VAM SYSTEMS is currently looking for Database Administrator for our UAE operations with the following skill set and terms and conditions:Skill Set required:Skills 5 + years experience in a database administrationExperience in managing Oracle database administration specialized in RAC & Data Guard. Practical experience in monitoring and tuning the database to provide high availability of service. Excellent knowledge in Oracle 9i & 10g RAC Administration withGood Knowledge of Oracle 10g & 9i. Excellent skills in MS SQL & DB2.OCP is a plus Good knowledge of UNIX (IBM AIX and Linux) Responsibilities:
Application and database tuning on Production database for enhancing the performance. Ensure database backups are appropriately executed through RMAN and periodic restorations are exercised to ensure backup quality. Monitor database system details within the database, including stored procedures and execution time, and implement efficiency improvements.Develop, implement, and maintain change control and testing processes for modifications to databases.Respond to and resolve database access and performance issues. Monitors the synchronisation between production and DR databases. Manages and troubleshooting of DR databases. Applying patches, releasing bug fixes into the production environment.Troubleshoots high priority systems such as the core banking systems to ensure availability of service. Managing Shareplex Replication solution and Database monitoring Tool like Quest and Tivoli.
