VINIRMA Consulting Pvt. Ltd. is a 3600 Human Resource Management Consulting and Staffing Services Organization with operations in UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Australia, USA, Singapore & India. VINIRMA Consulting currently looking for IT Database Administrator for one of our clients which is a leading Organization in UAE with the following skill set and terms and conditions.Skillset Required:· The individual must be proficient in setting up and managing Oracle & SQL Databases and the tools to monitor and administer the databases· The individual will need to be able to setup & manage BI Tools such as Discoverer (& other third party tools)· The individual is expected to be the single point of contact for resolution of any technical queries· The individual should be capable of managing a data centre for 24 x 7 operations with the help of a team· Preferred Certifications for the individual is : OCPResponsibilities· Coordinate with vendors to install and support Databases required for new applications implemented. · Design and create company Databases including integration between databases.· Maintain and support the company Databases that are sensitive, confidential, business critical ensuring high availability of reliable data to the business.· Proactively monitor and fine-tune the databases on an on-going basis to ensure efficient access to the data.· Develop Database back-up strategy, document back-up procedures.· Ensure the back-up of databases are taken periodically to protect the data against loss due to corruption · Assist to successfully set up and implement the IT architecture (Including DR) and be responsible for maintaining it in line with the growing business needs
Main Accountabilities
· Discuss with software developers/vendors & get requirements to design & create database for applications to enable efficient storage and retrieval of company data· Pro-actively monitor various databases and ensure periodic re-organization & fine-tuning is carried out to enable users to have most efficient access with acceptable response times.· Develop a back-up strategy and implement the same to protect invaluable company data against possible disasters.· Co-ordinate with vendors and software developers to ensure new application implementation is carried out as per project plan.· Research & identify new technologies/products evaluate & recommend if found beneficial to the business · Provide technical support for integration of various applications and databases enabling seamless access across heterogeneous environment for management information· Resolve technical problems & issues relating to application databases (escalate to vendors if required) to quickly restore normal operation ensuring minimal inconvenience to the users· Ensure the Senior IT Manager is updated and made aware of progress on risks and Issues as required. · Understand and support the development of the contingency system by providing technical expertise and ongoing support once it is operational· Assist in setting up and maintaining the IT Business Continuity Management policy and Disaster Recovery procedure, including regular testing· Responsible for ensuring that the IT systems follow a rigorous Security policy, including Access Control for the relevant systems, maintenance and upgrades, etc· Coordinate with relevant 3rd parties for support & maintenanceKnowledge, Experience and Qualifications
· In-depth knowledge of Database structure, entity diagrams, schemas, etc.· Proven experience / knowledge of setting up & maintaining Oracle & SQL Databases· Educated and holding technical knowledge to be able to meet the intellectual demands of the job, or can demonstrate equivalent experience. · Conceptual knowledge on Operating systems (Unix, Windows), Data warehouse / Data mart, etc· Experience of working to tight deadlines and pressure of fast delivery· An enterprising mindset and comfortable in a fast moving and pressurised business environmentExperience Required: 8 – 10 yrs.Terms and conditions: Joining time frame : 2 weeks (maximum 4 weeks)The selected candidates shall be a direct employee of one of the leading Organizations in UAE.Should you be interested in this opportunity, please send your latest resume in MS Word format at the earliest at nishanthini.suda@vamsystems.com or cal l us +91 471 4081888.Company Information
