Our client is a big multinational company that is currently looking for Tripoli, Libya, for a:
The candidate's mission will be to start up, head and manage the Libyan office paying particular attention to the overall sales function of the operation, for which he has a shared responsibility for both its operation and strategy.
Functions:- Define and ensure implementation of the Commercial, Financial, Product and Technical strategy for the markets under responsibility.
- Full responsibility of the P&L of the local office, maximizing operation efficiency.
- Recruit and Manage staff: identify and plan training, coach on an individual and team basis, motivate existing staff and recruit and select staff to match identified competencies and needs.
- Establish Cost and Revenue budgets with the financial center of the company and control budget fulfillment monthly in order to ensure that budget, revenue and profitability targets are achieved.
- Initiate and manage commercial negotiations with potential and key customers.
- Ensure appropriate timely and accurate reporting (commercial statements, financial statements, marketing plan and communication plan etc.) and coordination with the HQ.
- Represent the company in discussions with Media, Authorities, Customers & Providers.
- Manage and negotiate with major third party suppliers (hardware, outsourced serviced, local providers, etc).

- Business graduate. MBA an asset.
- Fluent English and Arabic.
- Extensive knowledge of the Libyan market.
- Extensive Sales / Sales Management Experience.
- Proven achievements in Customer Service-driven environments
- Marketing Knowledge and experience (research, new products implementation, segmentation, etc).
- Extensive Knowledge of budget compilation and justification as well as P & Ls etc. A pro-active approach to Cost Control is essential.
- Effective People Manager Skills. Motivation of individuals and teams, Performance Target setting (including Management by Objectives) and effectively dealing with performance issues
- Strategic / Project Management experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including negotiation skills.
