The candidate must have deep experience of RoR development and be committed to improving his/her Rails skills.
The main thing that differentiates ROR different from other frameworks is "convention over configuration" so the ROR developer developer be fully aware of the best practices of rails.

1) Have in-depth knowledge of rails framework
2) Knows best practices of ruby and rails.
3) Familiar with web services, and REST API's
4) Used well known ruby gems and plugins
5) Experience in test driven development, agile development process
and pair programming
6) Must have a strong foundation in OO programming and practices.
7) Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and web standards.
8) Outstanding Linux/Unix, Apache and MySQL skills
