Senior Oracle Administrator Full time job in Islamabad , Pakistan

Specialist in Oracle database.

Strong knowledge of Oracle architecture.

Ability to perform Oracle and operating system performance tuning and monitoring.

Knowledge of Oracle backup and recovery using RMAN and user managed backups.

Performance Tuning for currently running instances.

Knowledge of Oracle data integrity

Sound knowledge of the implemented application systems

Experience in code migration, database change management and data management through the various stages of the development life cycle.

Provide a strategic database direction for the organization

Implement and maintain the database design

Create database objects (tables, indexes, etc.)

Troubleshooting, Establishing and Enforcing Standards

Administration of UNIX / Linux servers

Knowledge of different distribution of Linux and lifecycles.
General OS Troubleshooting i.e. Starting/Stoping services, different installation and patching methods, linux commands & utilities.

Shell scripting, corn jobs & automation.

File system architecture and NFS.

Directory & File securities.

JDBC, PHP, MYSQL & JVM configurations and customizations.

Strong background in storage RAID, SAN, NAS
Familiarity with basic application architecture components, Networks,
Client/Server, Web Services, and Storage technologies
Good spoken and written English
Should have sound communication skills with management, development teams, vendors and systems administrators.
Should have the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines
Assist developers with database activities
