Job Description:
Required Technical Manager
* Oversee the planning, implementation and administration of clients managed services infrastructure in the US and international offices.
* Direct, manage and develop the local and remote IT staff while serving as a role model and mentor.
* Experience managing remote administrators, users and resources is a big plus.
* Manage client business applications, VoIP phone systems and systems backups.
* Oversee asset management, including vendor relationships, purchasing of hardware/software and inventory control.
* Manage, monitor and track all ongoing technical projects.
* Provide technical support for end users.
* Perform 24x7 pager duties on a rotating shift.
Skills Required:
* 5+ years of experience managing an IT department, ideally, including budget responsibilities.
* Expert level knowledge in Windows OS, Linux, UNIX and Exchange systems administration.
* Windows and Linux administration scripting experience.
* Experience with open source monitoring tools.
* Experience with VMware and iSCSI, SANs are a plus.
* Self-motivated and able to manage self-imposed deadlines/responsibilities.
* Committed to documenting policies and procedures.
* Excellent communications skills, both oral and written.
* Experience managing more than 5 resources in a managed services company with 24x7x365 support.
* Must be a team player with proven leadership and strong interpersonal skills.
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
