  • Trading Floor Support experience
  • Experience in an Investment Banking environment
  • Experience supporting market data services, such as Bloomberg, Reuters or FactSet
  • Experience supporting electronic trading platforms, such as FXall, Reuters Dealing 3000, MarketAxess, TradeWeb, PRIME Trade, Morcom extra Trade
  • Knowledge of MS Excel add-ins supporting market data feeds
  • Dealer board and voice support experience, such as IPC dealer board
  • Experience supporting MS Windows, MS Office and Lotus Notes
  • Customer Service and Call Logging skills
  • Clear analytical approach to problem solving.  Must possess Good Fault Diagnosis and Resolution Skills
  • Excellent Written and Oral Communications Skills
  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills

Desirable Skills

  • Basic understanding of Trading / Financial Markets
  • Basic understating of fixed income products
  • Any Unix, Sybase, and PowerBuilder exposure would be beneficial
  • Knowledge of FIX

Duties & Responsibilities

  • To provide 1st and 2nd line technical support for market data services:
-          Managing market data services and related subscriptions-          Processing user requests related to market data services-          Interaction with market data service providers for provision of services and issue / problem resolution within agreed SLAs-          Providing technical support for market data feed add-ins for MS Excel
  • To provide 1st and 2nd line technical support for electronic trading platforms:
-          Interaction with trading platform providers for provision of services and issue / problem resolution within agreed SLAs
  • To provide 1st and 2nd line technical support for front office desktop and telecoms environment:
-          Providing hands-on support to resolve technical issues where possible-          Logging technical issues raised by the front office using the IT help desk system-          Tracking technical issues through to resolution, keeping front office appraised of status, escalating as appropriate
  • To act as the liaison between the front office and the IT department.  This will include:
