Important multinational is currently looking for a Country Manager for Tripoli, Libya.
The candidate's mission will be to set up and manage the Libyan office paying particular attention to strategy and implementation plans, people management and the overall sales function of the operation.
Functions:-
Full responsibility of the P&L of the local office, maximizing operation efficiency.
- Define and ensure implementation of the Commercial and Marketing strategy for the markets under responsibility including brand adherence, image, systems and marketing communication.
- Initiate strategic customer relationship and manage commercial negotiations with potential partners and key customers.
- Tailor and execute marketing efforts to public sector, corporate customers and channels in the area.
- Enhance company’s corporate image, influence policy and prioritize opportunities and investments in the area. - Lead sales team to systematically respond to and resolve customer and partner issues.
- Assist to determine appropriate resource levels.
- Recruit and Manage staff: create a highly motivated and extremely effective organization, identify and plan training, coach on an individual and team basis, motivate existing staff and recruit and select staff to match identified competencies and needs.
- Dealing with high-level executives in corporate environment as well as with heads of Government.
- Represent the company in discussions with Media, Authorities, Customers and Providers.
- Drive long term development planning and performance reviews of all direct reports.
- Extensive knowledge of the Libyan market.
- 8 to10 years of Strategic and Project Management experience.
- Strong socio-economic development understanding.
- Extensive Sales and Sales Management experience.
- Excellent Business Relationship skills.
- Fluent English and Arabic.
- Solid communication and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including negotiation skills.
- Solid IT know-how.- Effective People Manager Skills: motivation of individuals and teams, performance target setting, including management by objectives, and effectively dealing with performance issues.
- Possess multicultural sensibility.
