Customer focus is maintained through four business units that address specific market segments - Merchant, Naval, Offshore and Submarines. A global support network underpins all activities and ensures contracts can be undertaken, and support is at hand anywhere in the world. The General Sales Manager will be responsible for the country specific OEM and aftermarket sales activities, will be part of the Sales and Marketing function, reporting operationally to the Area Manager and functionally to the relevant business unit VP and will form part of the Country management team.Key responsibilitiesLead and manage the in-country sales support team to drive OEM and aftermarket sales Provide support and governance to in-country sales resource, focussing on satisfying customer requirements and growth in new marketsConduct and administrate market research to grow sales in the existing product portfolio and identify opportunities for new sales Seek and pursue relevant opportunities in respective markets/product groups. Create, present and follow-up offers, provide technical and commercial support and lead contract negotiations.Identify and direct market forecasting to solutions applicable to the respective markets in-country Develop and manage the budget for OEM and aftermarket sales Support the implementation of CBP (Common Business Process) across sales activities in-countryKey experienceMarine MarketMarine Products and SystemsSolid experience in previous sales rolesKey Technical/Professional CompetenciesIn depth knowledge of the industry & marketDemonstrated sales ability within the marine sectorEducated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline
