Job Description/ Responsibilities | A leading insurance company based in Sharjah is urgently seeking to hire COMPLIANCE OFFICER-INURANCE, to supervise the implementation by the company, and its company’s Compliance Policies and Guidelines and to coordinate with other departments to assure strict compliance. The Role: - To assist the company Compliance Director and Regional Legal & Compliance in the development and implementation of the company’s compliance program for Gulf and assure the implementation of the following: - Develop corporate Compliance procedures, guidelines and policies for ALICO Gulf and be responsible for implementation - Monitoring / Audit of Compliance policies and procedures implementation. Report findings to Regional Legal & Compliance and Home Office Law Department Compliance Director - Develop preventive law programs including both civil and criminal law, in cooperation with Home Office Law Department Compliance Director and Regional Legal & Compliance. - Review / Follow-up ”non-complaint” activity in consultation with Legal, Human Resources, etc. as necessary - Monitoring and early communication of company systemic weaknesses in compliance areas - Risk analysis from compliance / regulatory perspective - Monitor legislative and regulatory activity for issues impacting ALICO Gulf branch operation - Establish written procedures for Policy documentation, issuance and implementation verification - Communication with approved external lawyers on compliance matters - Maintain a working knowledge of relevant regulatory issues, laws and regulations in each territory of the Gulf region - Take responsibility for the company’s Anti-Money Laundering and Privacy/Data Protection plans |
