| Job Description/ Responsibilities | As a sulphur solutions oriented scientist, you’ll be required to perform a number of tasks, including the following: Understand the needs of the Shell sponsor and define on that basis one or more projects including experimental needs and resources; Work in one or more integrated project teams to deliver high quality technical solutions on time and within budget; Execute an experimental program including characterization of compositions through physical and mechanical testing equipments; Build and maintain a high-intensity network within Shell; Build and maintain contacts with relevant groups in Academia; Perform cost analysis taking into consideration any customer-defined requirements, and build business cases in result. |

| Profile | With either a Masters or PhD degree in a relevant science or engineering discipline, you’ll have preferably at least 5 years experience in the area of sulphur research meaning physical inorganic/organic chemistry, physical characterization, theoretical understanding and related analytical/characterization techniques. Experience with practical applications of sulphur containing materials will give you a definitive advantage You’ll have strong laboratory skills on (sulphur) physics/chemistry and related product characterization and component interactions. Clear understanding of safety requirements is a must; With broad and deep physical and chemical technology knowledge, you’ll possess a proven ability to recognise and assess the key issues pertaining to the development and scale-up of product(s); Experience of DOE and experimental planning would be an advantage, as would new product scale-up from lab to development or even to commercial; You’ll have the confidence to work with minimum supervision and support along with the ability to manage and mentor technical staff and to disseminate your views and findings convincingly; In addition to the tasks outlined above, you may be assigned other responsibilities as needed; Authorisation to work in India is required for this position; A remuneration package based on the conditions in the country of employment will be offered for this position. |
