Job Description/ Responsibilities | Our client is one of the premier integrated liquefied natural gas (LNG) enterprises in the world. It has developed world class facilities for the extraction, storage, processing and export of LNG and entered into long-term agreements to supply customers around the globe, including Korea, India, Italy, Spain, Taiwan, Belgium and the United States. Job Purpose: Performance of petrophysical activities associated with active field development (i.e. tendering for contract petrophysical services, formation evaluation planning, selection and supervision of contract petrophysical support personnel, on-site supervision and QC of offshore and onshore wireline logging activities (open and cased hole), integrated analysis of all log, core and fluid data, perforation recommendations, maintenance of petrophysical database, and integration of petrophysical results in geologic and engineering models and interpretations. Key result areas: - Mentors new graduates and petrophysicists with less experience. - Works effectively with reservoir, petroleum, and drilling engineers and rig personnel. - Participates in well planning (i.e. provide wireline logging program for pre-drill documentation package; identify potential logging hazards, etc.). - Performs operations activities during drilling (i.e. pre-logging job planning with petrophysical contractors on rig(s), training of petrophysical contract personnel, interface with other Geoscience, Engineering, and Drilling personnel). - Provides on-site supervision, QC, and analysis of wireline logging operations. - Performs quick look formation evaluation methods in support of real-time decision making and provides input for selection of perforation and testing intervals. - Uses workstation based Petrophysical models to provide fully integrated field-study quality interpretations in support of geologic and reservoir modeling used in field development planning. - Maintains and ensures accuracy and completeness of petrophysical databases/catalogs (digital and hard copy). - Contributes to the enhancement of existing and future petrophysical analysis models. - Makes recommendations regarding Routine (RCA) and Special Core Analysis (SCAL) work to be done for measurement of petrophysical parameters and supervise work. - Interfaces with shareholders to identify, develop and implement joint technical initiatives. - Monitors petrophysical contractors and checks invoices. - Provides input to support development of reservoir surveillance strategies, including design of baseline logging programs. - Participates in development of reservoir surveillance logging programs by developing wireline logging procedure for production, cased hole nuclear and cement bond logging. - Provides written input for pre-drill and post-drill well reports. - Provides operational and technical support for Wireline Formation Testing (MDT) acquisition programs and data analysis. - Provides operational and technical support for Production Logging (PLT) acquisition programs and data analysis. - Provides operational and technical support for Cement Evaluation Logging (CBL/VDL-USIT) acquisition programs and data analysis. - Develops scope of work for tendering of petrophysical services and analyzes them. |
