| Job Description/ Responsibilities | Provide technical and economic feasibility guidance to exploratory and bench-scale process research programmes; Participate in new process development activities including guidance on pilot plant design and operation and commercial plant design; Participate in venture economic modeling, investment analysis, competitive benchmarking and value chain analysis; Lead teams to perform front end loading for new process design, pilot plant experimental programmes or manufacturing location projects; Perform literature and patent reviews for existing or new technologies in order to communicate status of the industry or potential for new ideas; Develop and scout new technologies of interest to Shell and champion them internally for application; Evaluate cost reduction and de-bottlenecking alternatives; Generate funding proposals; Use tools like ASPEN PLUS, IPE, CAPCOST and other process modeling simulations to develop and model new and existing processes. Included in this would be knowledge of the data required to produce and correlate new VLE or reactivity behavior; Use models to perform rigorous discounted cash flow analysis of large and small investments including sensitivity analyses. |
| Candidate Requirement |
| Profile | With an advanced degree in chemical engineering or equivalent discipline, and industrial or economic evaluation experience, you'll be at an advantage if you have working knowledge of a range of technology, business and manufacturing areas; Experienced in the oil or petrochemicals industry, and the ability to work in a global department which has members in the US and the Netherlands; The ability to work across multiple businesses and manage changing priorities; The ability to manage multiple projects simultanuously; Excellent communication skills with operational groups, partners of Shell and other stakeholders, and with other technical disciplines within Shell's technical community. This includes representing technical work to Shell customers and joint venture partners; The ability to develop and maintain excellent customer relations; Authorisation to work in India is required for this position; A remuneration package based on the conditions in the country of employment will be offered for this position. |
