| Job Description/ Responsibilities | As a member of the R&D department, you will develop innovative new process technology in a broad range of chemical technology areas for multiple Shell Businesses. A critical focus area is designing and overseeing the safe operation of multiple pilot plants that are operated by process technicians. This process research and development project portfolio will contain a mix of short and long-term projects. Planning the operational campaigns, including logistics, resourcing, operational conditions, analysis scheme and modifications to units; Performing data analysis and reporting results within the project team. Writing the experimental sections of official reports covering the operation of the unit; Ensuring that project milestones relating to the operation of the units are met; Assuring the process integrity during change management; leading other disciplines through the potential impacts of process changes to the experimental units; Assuring that the local management systems are followed and site utilities are correctly used; Coaching and mentoring less experienced staff is key. |

| Profile | Advanced degree in Chemical Engineering is preferred; Minimum 4 years of experience; Significant background / experience in process development and process scale up knowledge. Experience with operation of complex experimental facilities, including distribution control systems; Experience in operation of analytical equipment. Experience in a range of technologies is a plus, for example manufacturing. Experience with process modeling is a plus; Ability to develop and maintain excellent customer relations; Ability to manage changing priorities and handle multiple projects simultaneously; Ability to work well in a global department and draw on other departments’ expertise. In addition to the tasks outlined in this job description, you may be assigned other responsibilities as needed; It is highly likely that your work in the team will involve field visits to overseas Operating Companies of the Shell Group. This may involve extensive travel and your absence from home for longer and shorter periods. Initial onboarding and training will be provided in Amsterdam, The Netherlands; Authorisation to work in India is required for this position; A remuneration package based on the conditions in the country of employment will be offered for this position. |
