Job Description/ Responsibilities | Qualifications: 6/7 years' experience in business processes and application support specifically within the upstream oil/gas industry. Experience in Human Resources, general systems/applications analysis and industrial systems applications is a plus. Fluency in English. Role: Provides support and/or security services on various applications, not limited to but including the Audit System, Cargo Carrying Unit Registry, DNV Risk Database, GNOME/TAP, HazardReview Leader, Helicopter Booking System, MetOcean Weather System, Personal Items Details, Pool Car Log, Primavera P5.0, Ripley House Bookings, SkillForge Database, Surplus Equipment System, HRMS System, Maximo and VDO Fleet Manager. Assists the business in reviewing the business processes and develops and implements projects to expand and/or enhance the end users business benefits. Main Duties: Provides support to current users of the business applications, to achieve maximum benefits' realization. Includes ensuring user documentation is prepared, that users are provided with training, and that appropriate security codes and authorizations are in place. Initiates and leads workshops to address cross-functional issues and processes that need to be resolved. Provides ongoing advice to users and key users, responding to their requests for problem resolution, system training and improvements. Refers some requests on to Petrofac Aberdeen and/or Sharjah and liaises with them for the resolution of user problems. Monitors ongoing usage of the applications, identifying issues/opportunities for system improvement. Works with users, key users and other Petrofac support groups in developing changes within the existing system, including customizing to meet user specifications, developing new report formats and assisting with data transfer activities for existing systems. Coordinates any work to be done by external consultants, reviewing their inputs and liaising with users. Presents proposals to users, the Director BIS Support and process owners for new additions, including presenting the business case details associated with obtaining Company approvals. Works with Petrofac support groups and application consultants in developing the project, reviewing and agreeing systems designs and software development and works with the users in the review and testing of the system in use. Assists in the training of users, prepares any related system documentation. Carries out an ongoing audit of the applications, ensuring that the systems are producing at the levels anticipated, identifying any user problems for resolution and providing the Director BIS Support with a periodic report on the applications. Maintains a list of software licenses required for the various applications and ensures that there are adequate licenses for the number of users, and also ensures that the licenses are current. Works with the Contracts Department when required to review and update current contracts, and in creation of new contracts when required. Keeps colleagues in other areas of the BIS Support Team and IM advised of all applications operations and developments, involving them in systems integration activities. Participates in developing and maintaining user service agreements with internal clients and maintaining the Company's relationships and service agreements with the applications consultants. Maintains Application Security through Authorizations providing auditable segregation of duties, creates and assigns new userid’s, assigns authorization to existing profiles for users if needed and approved, performs monthly and quarterly audits on user id’s, is the SPOC for setting up application training for new and existing users when requested, performs the application training to new users for the various applications supported. |
