| Job Description/ Responsibilities | STI’s Energy, Utility Water & Waste Services Group is part of Global Solutions’ Energy, Utility, Water & Waste Delivery Group (GSRU). The expertise of this group spans the whole field of utilities including steam and power systems, fuel gas and hot oil systems, effluent water treatment and re-use, and waste treatment technology. As a result, the group has interfaces with a wide variety of other delivery groups and serves several market sectors, including refining, gas and power, exploration and production, and chemicals; As a Technologist for Water Utilities, your main focus will be to provide facility development, design and modelling services for effluent water and cooling water treatment; You’ll be responsible for detailing out design work for Base of Design/Basic Design Packages, especially in the area of water treating and re-use, and work closely with the technologists in the service centres who deliver the conceptual work; Assuring that process models are detailed out and successfully developed, you’ll act as focal point for OLI modelling (static water models) in GSRU and other users in the Shell Group, and for the implementation of dynamic effluent treatment models; We’ll also require you to provide technical service support activities for the three regional teams in Amsterdam, Kuala Lumpur and Houston. |
| Candidate Requirement |
| Profile | With more than five years experience of process engineering in the refining/petrochemical industries, you’ll have good knowledge of utilities, especially for water and wastewater treatment; Two to three years’ experience with process models such as Thermoflow and Aspen is essential, and you should have good all-round knowledge of IT tools and models; Willing to work in the back-office on Shell and third party projects, you should be committed to delivering results; In addition to the tasks outlined above, you may be assigned other responsibilities as needed, and it’s likely that your work will involve field visits to overseas Operating Companies of the Shell Group; Authorisation to work in India is required for this position; A remuneration package based on the conditions in the country of employment will be offered for this position. |
