Job Description/ Responsibilities | 1. Basic Function and Scope Receives, stores, issues & recovers a wide variety of mechanical, systems and general materials used in client’s Operations, both onshore and Offshore. Processes all transactions using the Maximo system. Resolves stock discrepancies and other problems and provides work direction to 1 to 2 contract personnel. Stock and various symbol number line items exceed 30, 000. Maintains Warehouse bin location structure of approximately 40, 000 storage bins. Supports and complies with the policies, goals, efforts and programs of the DP’s HSSEQ Management system. Ensures HSSEQ issues are given primary consideration in all activities undertaken within area of responsibility. Ensures unsafe acts and/or condition, no matter in what area of responsibility, are reported so corrective actions can be taken. 2. Tasks and Duties To be assigned to JAOSB Receipts Section. a) Checks and inspects materials and equipment inducted into client’s Warehouse system for correct specifications, condition, supporting test and materials certification and quality inspection. b) Inspects purchased equipment or vendor rental equipment per specifications, operational test certificates and physical defects. c) Inspect all documentation and undertake physical inspection of locally repaired item either from local workshops or JAOSB workshops. d) Support project team by coordinating any modifications to skids or assemblies which require JAOSB’s workshops to perform such work. e) Clear material for acceptance or raise Quality Non-Conformance (QNC) with Procurement and to follow up with vendor, OEM and DP Technical Authority with relevant technical response. f) Ensures special inspections, tests, coating, preservation processes e.g. valve pressure testing, hot dipping, and sand blasting/coating etc., for the relevant materials are carried out. g) Processes all receiving transactions in Maximo system in a timely manner to facilitate goods receipts based invoice verification and for a sound audit trail. h) Ensures and is responsible for proper binning and storage of new and existing stock material in the Warehouse and other storage locations. Performs continuous inventory while equipment and goods receiving process and works with Materials Quality Inspector to resolve stock discrepancies and reconciles physical inventory with stock records listed in Maximo system. i) Ensures that all process equipment assemblies and engines if stored for significant period and suspected of soft goods were & tear are delivered to workshops for quick operational checks before being delivered to issue department for onward shipment. General a. Assigned to assist company or outside auditors during regular or ad hoc audits of stock inventory. b. Responsible for creating and processing Transfer Posting transaction for quality inspection and maintenance of Warehouse stock items. c. Responsible for replenishment of stocks at Fateh, SWF and General Services Warehouses as and when required. d. Assists in GE overhaul projects Offshore and carries out all necessary paper work to issue and recover unused and repairable material back on shelf. e. Ensures that Warehouse and other areas are maintained in a neat, clean and safe condition. f. Provides day to day work directions to 1 to 2 contractors based on the volume of work assignments to be accomplished. a. Provides input for performance assessment of contractors. b. Carries out following other similar or related duties: • Vacation relief for Senior Materials Man. • Updates time sheet processing date for rental equipment and contract personnel in the system. • Identifies and orders materials required for Warehouse operations. • Member of JAOSB Emergency Response Team as nominated. • Participates in and occasionally conducts daily and monthly Warehouse safety meetings. 3. Work Contacts: Frequent contacts with buyers, vendors and contractors when receiving materials; with operations personnel including Engineers, Warehousemen, Operators, SPOC, Field Foreman etc., on material requirements and with contractors when issuing materials for construction of fabrication. Frequent contacts with Materials Accounting personnel on invoice verifications and financial documents created through material transactions. 4. Independence of Operation: Works according to established procedures and Warehouse standards, but is expected to show initiative in resolving stock discrepancies or other problems. Work is regularly checked by Supervisor. 5. Supervisory Responsibility: Provides work direction to 1 to 2 contractors. 6. Physical Effort: 50% of the time is spent on computer/walking/standing, lifting items. 7. Work Environment: 50% of the time is spent in non air-conditioned Warehouse. 8. Minimum Requirements: a. A polytechnic graduate in Engineering discipline or an apprenticed Mechanical person in oil & gas or refinery. b. Minimum of five years experience in the oil, gas industry. c. Computer literacy in MS XP and Maximo systems. d. Fluency in English oral and written. |
