Carry. Makro is a joint venture between SHV Inter holdings Netherlands
& House of Habib Pakistan. Following its remarkable success where
four stores have been opened in a short span of time, Makro plans to
strengthen its workforce by adding quality people in the following
capacities at Current / Future Stores in Lahore, Karachi, Faisalabad,
Islamabad & Multan. All Makro Stores are operational from 8:00am
till midnight 7 days a week. BUYER / CATEGORY MANAGER- NON FOOD ASSORTMENT (LAHORE BASED) Accomplishing Makro's commercial policies, norms and procedures, the Buyer will ensure the achievement of key performance figures of assigned targeted annual sales, gross profitability and "other income" through a concerted approach in the negotiation of price / volume / margin / promotional deals with suppliers and constant attention to assortment. Responsible for managing centrally controlled nationwide assortments, * University Graduate preferably in Business Administration or related discipline. * At least 3 to 5 years managerial experience in commercial buying, operations process preferably in FMCG or large manufacturing or related business concern. ASSISTANT STORE GENERAL MANAGER (ASGM) This is a target oriented strategic position. Manages all related activities to the attainment of operational objectives and targets within the budgeted KPl's. A result oriented team builder & leader having professional insight of customer care & attitude. Ensures maximum productivity of staff by keeping them motivated. Overseeing all commercial aspects and operations of the entire store. * University Graduate preferably in Business Administration or related discipline. * At least 5 years managerial experience gained from a manufacturing, whole-sale, retail or food chain organization, with substantial background in inventory control, systems orientation, selling, marketing, plant operations. DEPARTMENTAL MANAGERS (FRESH FOOD, DRY FOOD & NON FOOD) Supervises all activities related to selling the product lines with a purpose of promoting sales while keeping focus on positive margins & actively improving profitability of the department within acceptable cost and shrinkage level. A result oriented team leader having professional insight of meeting and exceeding customer needs. * University Graduate preferably in Business Administration or related discipline. * At least 3-5 Years managerial experience gained from retail / direct selling /service-oriented or related organization. CHECK-OUT MANAGER Takes care of all activities related to the processing of purchase transactions by customers, and safeguarding all sales collections. Managing team and high volume transactions by providing personalized efforts focusing on a long-term relationship with customers. * University Graduate preferably in Business Administration or related discipline. * At least 3 years managerial experience in counter or treasury operations gained from a retail organization or related business. ADMIN. & LOGISTICS CENTRE (ALC) MANAGER Responsible for managing inventories and re-ordering of all trade items at store. Oversees P^ttf Cash Fund and its precise bookkeeping. Makes sure prompt and aocuratg generation of ail computer-generated reports, accurate and strict compliance to Checkpoint procedures. Ensures availability of accurate and timely MIS reports, focusing on the accounting and financial aspects and expense budget, administering the cyclic and annual stocktaking. * University Graduate preferably In Finance / Business Administration or related discipline. * At least 5 years managerial experience preferably from retail /supermarket or related operations, with substantial exposure in accounting and audit functions. GOODS RECEIVING MANAGER Supervises all activities related to goods receiving and releasing of all trade and non-trade items to and from the store premises, timely release of goods to and from dock area to the selling floor. Good hands on experience in managing and motivating teams under high work pressures. * University Graduate in any discipline. * At least 3 years of managerial experience in warehousing or related business. SECTION HEAD (FRESH FOOD. DRY FOOD & NON FOOD) Ensures smooth operations and maximum productivity to achieve sales objectives of the department through accurate inventory control, adherence to merchandizing standards, good personnel management and development. A result oriented team player always willing to go an extra mile in fulfilling and exceeding customer needs. * University Graduate preferably in Business Administration or related discipline. * At least 2 years supervisory experience gained from a retail/wholesale or related organization. MANAGEMENT TRAINEE Ideal position for Young Graduates, willing to pursue career in new and fast paced modern retail distribution industry. The program augments trainees to develop proficiency in areas like Operations, Commercial and Finance of the Company for managerial positions in 6 to 24 months time. Candidates for all positions must possess high level of creativity complemented with strong and demonstrated analytical, decision-making, communication, interpersonal and leadership skills. They must be strategic thinker, persuasive, goal oriented and innovative. AH positions require excellent people management skills and ability to work under pressure.
