History:

Arrows – Established in 1964, is one of the founding fathers of the charismatic field of Outdoor Advertising in Lahore. This was the era of evolution when adroit traditional venders were transforming themselves into proper agencies, in order to provide personalized services to the clients. The step of launching “Arrows” was taken at the right time because advertising was rapidly emerging as a powerful industry, especially the outdoor segment, being the best medium of direct contact with the public and that too with affordable price tags. Initially, Arrows was a proprietorship concern, but after the formulation of Companies Ordinance 1984 it was registered as a Private Company Limited By Shares.

Founder:

Mr. Dilawez Akbar Butt was the founder of Arrows Advertising. After completing his graduation, being an intellectual & business minded person, having artistic approach, starting an outdoor advertising agency well suited his aesthetic life style. He proved to highly dynamic personality in the field of outdoor advertising because he was bold enough to tryout new and different things, which are now an integral part of the contemporary style of outdoor advertising. He not only gained eminence in outdoor advertising but also in food & beverage industry by starting Prima Foods (Pvt.) Limited whose star product by the name of “Samarbar” was well known and liked by the masses. The untimely demise of Mr. D. A. Butt in 1988 was a great shock for his entire team and everyone related to him.

Directors:

Mr. Usman Dilawez, the elder son of Mr. D. A. Butt, continuing father’s distinguished heritage and a passion for innovation in outdoor advertising, joined Arrows in 1992 as Chief Executive after earning his bachelors degree. Not being less than his father, is running his family business with proficiency, propelling Arrows to new heights and vast horizons.

In 1995 Arrows received an immense thrust by the joining of Mr. Hamid Asadullah as Director. He has a master’s degree in public administration and a diverse experience of working in the most prestigious advertising agencies like MNJ Communications, Orient MacCan-Erickson and Mass Advertising (Pvt) Ltd.

Mr. Salman Dilawez is the youngest son of Mr. D. A. Butt and also a Director in Arrows. Being an IT expert he handles all the IT related functions and requirements of the agency. He has also worked as the Senior System Support Engineer in a leading Urdu newspaper “Daily Express”. This has helped him a great deal to earn experience and exposure to work with sheer professionalism.
