Breezecom FZC was incorporated in the United Arab Emirates in January 2007 with the vision of exploiting the potential of Voice over IP (VOIP). UAE was chosen as the company’s headquarter as it provided the best corporate structure and banking facilities available in this region. A state-of-the-art back-office was established in Karachi, Pakistan that enabled us to employ the best engineering/marketing/accounting talent at the best costs available worldwide. Breezecom chose New York City as the place to house our entire network at a carrier-class facility at 75 Broad Street.

A lot of effort was put in to make sure that we have covered all aspects of running an operation which is very cost sensitive and at the same time mission critical in nature. Today we boast a strong team of 35+ professionals that work relentlessly to make sure the best quality of service is delivered to our customers worldwide. Breezecom carries over a billion minutes annually and are steadily growing to achieve our target of 2 billion minutes by the end of 2008. We have very strong retail offerings that target the South East Asian expatriate community in Middle East and Europe.

Mr. Ahmed has extensive experience in technical marketing and sales roles within the Cable Modem, xDSL, WLAN (802.11), WiMax (802.16), VoIP, CDMA and Powerline Networking Technologies. During his tenure at Texas Instruments, he was influential in securing a total of US$ 100 million business for TI, based on TI DSP Broadband Solutions. He has also held leading sales role with Micron Technologies in Silicon Valley. Being a serial entrepreneur that he is, Breezecom is Mr. Ahmed’s fourth successful start-up as a founder.

Mr. Ahmed holds a BS Electrical Engineering from University of Texas at Austin, and MBA from McGill University, Montreal. He has completed various professional development courses / programs at Stanford University and University of California – San Diego as well.

Mr. Altaf enjoys valuable experience in defining and successfully launching bleeding edge broadband products and services at startup companies. Mr. Altaf joined an aspiring DSL startup, NorthPoint Communications, in its infancy and was heading their Voice over DSL (VoDSL) efforts. He was also affiliated with MegaPath Networks, a national provider of broadband access and services, where he was responsible for building their entire Value Added Services product line, which now accounts for over 20% of the company's revenues. On his move back to Pakistan, Mr. Altaf joined DVCOM as Director of Marketing and was heading the retail and wholesale operations there. After DVCOM, Mr. Altaf joined Mobilink (largest GSM operator in Pakistan) as Sr. Manager of Pricing & Strategy. Mr. Altaf holds BS Engineering degree from University of Wisconsin, Madison, USA.
