Dawood Lawrencepur Limited (DLL), “the Company”, was formed in April 2004 by the merger of four publicly listed companies of the Dawood Group, namely Dawood Cotton Mills Limited (DCM), Lawrencepur Woolen & Textile Mills Limited (LWTM), Burewala Textiles Limited (BTM) and Dilon Limited (DILON). DLL has been mandated to lead the Renewable Energy initiative of the Group and is looking at investments in utility scale projects, as well as other commercial uses. We remain among the first batch of developers who are leading the renewable energy initiative in Pakistan. Tenaga Generasi Limited (TGL) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of DLL. TGL was incorporated in 2005 as a public limited company under the Companies Ordinance, 1984 for setting up a 50 MW wind energy power project on build, own and operate basis as an Independent Power Producer (IPP). It is presently in the process of acquiring its resources and its commercial operation will start by mid 2013. It holds the Letter of Intents (LOIs) for 100 MW Wind Energy Project, to be executed in two phases. It possesses a total of 4,881 acres of land in the Gharo-Keti Bander Wind Energy Corridor.
