DF Deutsche Forfait Group is specialized in the non-recourse purchase and sale of receivables – the forfaiting business – as well as the acceptance of risks through purchasing commitments. In the forfaiting business, the forfaiter acquires an exporter’s receivable which improves liquidity and balance sheet structure and which transfers the connected risks to the buyer. In the purchasing commitment, only country risk and counterparty risk which relate to the possible non-payment of a receivable due to country - or debtor specific risks, are transferred.

We do business in the forfaiting industry with the aim of selling the purchased receivables in the short term. Purchasing commitments issued by DF Deutsche Forfait Group are hedged and outplaced by way of bank guarantees, mutual-liability or credit insurance. Receivables that are not sold are added to the DF Deutsche Forfait Group’s portfolio.

Our company enjoys sustained profitability and offers high rates of growth coupled with the prospect of attractive dividends. Our forfaiting volume in 2007 was EUR 902 million, with a consolidated net income of around EUR 5.3 million. Since the company was established in January 2000, we have recorded a net profit every financial year.

In the future, we are aiming to grow internationally while still remaining as profitable as before. The preconditions for this goal could not be better: The market offers plenty of opportunities with the continuous growth of world trade. Therefore we will expand our business in existing markets and enter new ones. With DF Deutsche Forfait AG’s successful IPO in May 2007, we have laid the foundation for further profitable growth while at the same time enlarging our refinancing scope.
