Description:
The Ali Family started soap business in 1954 by the name “Saba Limited”, a private limited company located at Hali Road, Hyderabad. Brands like Capri, Palmy, Opal and Sandaleen were launched to make one of the leading soap businesses in the country.

The capacity of production facility had to be enhanced to fulfill the growing demand, therefore bought a defunct factory site in Karachi by the name of Zulfeqar Industries Limited in November 1980 that was incorporated on 16th February 1960 as a private limited company for the manufacturing and marketing of toilet and laundry soaps. The soap business thus came under the style and name of Zulfeqar Industries Limited.

The company went public on 6th November 1986 and was listed on the Karachi and Lahore Stock Exchanges. The business went through a lot of changes over the years and now has streamlined its operations with its Head office in Karachi and production facilities in Hyderabad.

A New Era
The company believes in continuous improvement that was started in 1998 to improve the quality and efficiency at all levels of operations. As we approach the WTO scenario, the competition is getting tougher. Therefore, Zulfeqar Industries Limited has been constantly improving its systems and obtained ISO 9001 certification in 2000. The company has started acquiring state-of –the-art technology to improve its energy consumption and quality of its products under its policy of Balancing, Modernisation and Replacement (BMR).
