Global Centre for Peace and development is a self-funded, not-for-profit trust registered in Pakistan. Inspired by a proactive commitment to the cause of peace, stability and human development, the Centre aspires to make strategic interventions in Pakistan to support Peace, Stability and development. The Centre is working for various welfare, progressive and sustainable projects and studies in aspects of planning, research, development, management, finance, marketing, evaluation, strategies, policies, priorities, enactments, education and other concerned activities.
The Centre is mainly promoting faith and development based models for conflict resolution and peace building among practitioners, policy makers, and communities and further inter-religious and Intra-religion along with the promotion of peace and justice-oriented action between and across different communities as well as support communities to develop local government and structures for civil society and citizenship, and finally to explore, develop, and utilize existing resources to better tailor and implement community-based initiatives built on local strengths.

GCPD mission is to provide research evidence concerning conflict and its resolution both in South Asia and in other countries throughout the world.  This evidence will contribute to an understanding of how conflicts develop and how they may be most effectively resolved.  Development and governance issues are also studied in regions which are emerging from poverty and/or conflict.
