Pakistan Association for Mental Health has been working towards expanding the access to health care in Pakistan for the mentally ill.
It is estimated that every fifth household in Pakistan has a psychiatric patient requiring treatment. Denial of this reality can aggravate the affected person’s misery, add to the financial and psychosocial stresses of the family, as well add to the social and economic burden on Pakistani society in general. For over 35 years, Pakistan Association for Mental Health has been working towards expanding the access to health care in Pakistan for the mentally ill.
