Optiwave Technologies (Pvt.) Ltd. (OWT) is a consulting company with a focus on the telecom sector. It was formed in 2001 with a vision of promoting the growth of the telecom sector in Pakistan. The telecom sector in Pakistan offers a host of exciting opportunities for potential investors in telecom operations and manufacturing of telecom products as it makes the transition from the monopoly era to a deregulated environment for operators and manufacturers of telecom products. OWT offers consulting services for both operators and manufacturers.
In a short period of time OWT has built an impressive track record in both manufacturing and service industries. It has completed numerous projects since its inception. Majority of the projects have been in telecom operations and some are in manufacturing sector. On the manufacturing front, OWT was the consultant from conception to operation for Pakistan’s first optical fiber cable manufacturing plant in the private sector. Optiwave is also consultant of the second optical fiber cable manufacturing plant in the private sector. The total number of clients exceeds ten whereas two of these clients are multinationals with operations spread in several countries.
