Requirement Details
Uch Power Station is a 586 MW CCGT located near Dera Murad Jamali in the Balochistan province of Pakistan. The plant consists of three GE 9E combustion turbine generators in combined cycle using three heat recovery steam generators and a steam turbine. The plant is being operated & maintained by the Facility Management Division of ESB International since it was commissioned in the year 2000.
The company is looking for the services of an experienced, dynamic and energetic individual for the position of Site HR Officer - Combined Cycle Power Plant at Uch Power Station.

Job Description

Reporting to Chief Administration Officer dealing with Human Resource Management, Office & Colony Administration, Health & Safety, Security, and environment.

• Managing Human Resources activities including recruitment, job analysis, employment regulation compliance, employee training & benefit programs, grievance handling and other areas.
• Management of office and colony administration sections that include travel, training, logistics, leaves management, visa processing, maintenance of office equipment, industrial relations, liaison with external agencies, social uplift programs, establishment of temporary camps, execution of projects, contracts management regarding catering & allied services, vehicle maintenance services, pest control services, HVAC services, landscaping services, colony general maintenance, event management, staff recreation activities.
• Coordinating with corporate legal issues.
• Execution of insurance related matters.
• Involvement in budget planning and execution.
• Involved in the integrated management system and ISO certification practices.
• Management of security services and liaison with local and overseas security consultants.
• Develop and execute the administration and HR procedures.
• Management of site clinic and accident reports.
• Support to procurement activities for colony and office administration.
• Supervising large labor force including site projects, site contractors.
• Liaison with Government institutions including EOBI, Excise & taxation.
• Develop & administer the internal control procedures and troubleshooting at Uch Power Station.
• Other duties as and when assigned by the line manager.

Job Specification

• The candidate should have extensive experience in HR & Admin operations particularly in a combined cycle power plant/large industrial process plants/Oil & Gas/production & manufacturing. The candidate should have experience in contemporary HR practices. Certification in HR is having additional advantage.
• The interested candidate must have MBA/MPA or equivalent Degree with preferably 4 years of experience in the field of Hr & Administration. He should have experience in supervising large labor force. The exposure of potential candidate should include implementation of HR practices at site, grievance handling, liaise and mange third party contractor. This position is site based and demands willingness to work at site under challenging weather conditions on rota basis. Ideal candidate would be well versed with labor laws and regulations. He should have excellent communication skills in both English and Urdu. He should have strong skills in MS Office, presentation skills, report writing skills, good interpersonal skills.
